Thursday, April 2
7PM Holy Thursday Seder (Signup at church for potluck meal or call the church office, 503-281-8868.) We honor the Jewish roots of the Last Supper by Jesus by sharing the ancient story, ritual and foods of the Jewish Seder.
Friday, April 3
– 12Noon “Walk of the Cross” through SE Portland with other faith communities. We walk with the cross through the city and with other faith and justice communities to stop, listen and pray in solidarity and hope. Meet before 12noon at St. Ignatius Catholic Church (3400 NE 43rd off Powell Blvd); the walk ends about 2:30PM AT 2740 SE Powell Blvd. Read the Event Flyer Here.
– 6PM Good Friday meditation at MCC Portland – Observe this solemn and holy day with a shared time of prayer and reflection.
Saturday, April 4
4PM Easter Egg Hunt with our Central Lutheran Church neighbors. All families and children are invited to our Easter Egg Hunt! Meet at the Peace House (18th and NE Tillamook) for an awesome time with our neighbors in ministry for an Easter Egg Hunt! After finding our eggs, we have a fun Easter Parade (beginning about 4:20pm) to Central Lutheran Church (21st between NE Hancock & NE Schuyler) where we will share an interactive, inter-generational time together telling Bible stories and preparing for Easter morning. (NOTE: (In case of rain, egg hunt is also held at Central Lutheran at 4pm.)
Easter Sunday, April 5
– 7AM Sunrise Worship at Washington Park Rose Garden – Celebrate Resurrection morning with praise as we welcome sunrise over Mt. Hood overlooking Portland from this landmark garden location, Site B. Bring a folding chair for seating and check the weather forecast for what to wear. View Map Here.
