On Sunday, April 27 after the 11AM Service, MCC Portland's membership voted to invite Rev. Nathan Meckley to be our new Senior Pastor -- which he accepted! Nathan will be joining our community in early June. Stay tuned for more information.

Farewell Reception for Rev. Wes is leaving MCC Portland to become Senior Pastor at Pikes Peak MCC, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Come and join us Saturday, May 10, 6:30 – 8P at the church as we celebrate a new beginning for Rev. Wes, thank him for all he has given to MCCP, and say goodbye. A handy way to raise money for MCC!
Those of you who use the internet on a regular basis are familiar with search engines like Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc., right? Goodsearch is another such search engine. The great thing about this one is, that every time you use the engine, a penny goes to a charitable organization of your choice.
Metropolitan Community Church of Portland is one such charitable organization. It works like this:
1.
Go to www.goodsearch.com.
2. There is a field below the search box that says, "I'm supporting".
Type in our whole name -- Metropolitan Community Church of Portland
-- and hit "Verify". It will look into its database and find
our organization. Then, every time you use Goodsearch to find something
on the internet, we get a penny!
A penny might not see much right away. But what if 100 or more people use it maybe 10 times in a day? That's $10 in a day. Over a year's time? That's $3,650. And that, my friends, is not too shabby!
